What is the test mode for a campaign?
When you’re creating a campaign or Journey, you may want to test things out before sending so you can be sure everything is flowing the way you want it to.
Test Mode allows you to set your campaign Live without actually sending out emails to your customers. This can help you check to see if the right people are qualifying.
To start Test Mode:
- On the Campaign Details page, click Edit.
Click the Test Mode toggle to on (green).
- Click the Status dropdown and select Live.
- Then click Save.
Don’t worry! No emails will go out. The system will just simulate how the live campaign is moving through the steps.
Note: Test mode sets all Journey delays to 1 day to expedite your testing.
To turn off Test Mode:
- On the Campaign Details page, click Edit.
Click the Test Mode toggle to off (light purple).
- Change the Status to Pending if you don’t wish to start the campaign right away, otherwise leave it Live.
- Click Save.
Once you take the campaign out of test mode, the system will clear test data and start the campaign.
