How do I build a Journey?
Journeys are the structure to sequence multiple campaign messages.
For example, let’s say you want to send an initial message to your members about a new product, and then you want to send a second email a few days later depending on certain conditions.
Create Journey Campaigns
To get started with Journeys, you’ll want to create your Journey campaigns.
We recommend following the steps to create a campaign and just make sure to select Is part of a Journey.
Once you have your Journey Campaigns created, you’re ready to create a Journey!
Build a Journey
On the Campaigns page, click the + and click Journey
- Enter a name for the journey and add a description so you can recall the journey’s purpose
- On the Campaign Details page, under Segment, click Add Segment and then click Select next to the Segment you’d like to send this Journey
- You can do this later, but you’ll need to select a Segment before your Journey can move out of the draft state
Then click Journey Builder to start building your Journey
- Drag nodes from the left side menu to the workspace to build out your Journey
- Delay - set a delay for the next step in the journey
- Condition - set a filter condition to move customers to a specific next step depending on if they meet or do no meet the criteria for the condition
- Email Campaign - insert your Journey Campaign messages
Connect each node by clicking the arrow on the right side of one node and then clicking the arrow on the left side of the node that comes next
- Click on the node name to select the delay, condition or campaign you’d like to insert
Make sure to add an End node and connect it to the last step in your Journey
- Once you’ve connected and selected your nodes, click Save
You can now schedule your Journey on the Campaign tab.
